1号公路92号出口下经Summas过关， 过关后沿着547号路走，然后转542号路。 在547和542号路交接处（GPS 48.917181 -122.137336）的Subway短暂停留买午餐。然后到Glacier Public Service Center （GPS 48.88836 -122.13600）短暂停留买Parking Pass.

From Glacier, travel east on the Mt. Baker Highway SR 542 approximately 7.5 miles from the Glacier Public Service Center in Galcier Washington. The trailhead is next to highway on the left hand (north) side.

Trailhead Access 2, Welcome Pass (No fee)

From Glacier, Washington, travel east on the Mt. Baker Highway SR 542 approximately 11.5 miles from the Glacier Public Service Center at Milepost 45 and Forest Service road 3060. Turn left (north) onto FS road 3060. This road is not signed and is easy to miss. If you drive past it, continue to the Department of Transportation station, turn around and FS road 3060 will be your first right. Welcome Pass trailhead and parking are 1.5 miles from the highway, at the end of FS road 3060.

Damfino Lakes Trail 625 ( A valid Recreation Pass required)

From the trailhead begin at an old clear-cut, then quickly enter mature forest. Encounter a junction in 0.7 miles. The left fork is Canyon Ridge Trail 689, which connects to Boundary Way Trail 688. Take the right fork to reach Damfino Lakes in 0.1 mile. Tiny lakes are skirted by a puncheon bridge walkway and surrounded by blueberry bushes that turn a blazing scarlet in autumn. Stop and look for young salamanders in the shallows. From here, the trail re-enters forest and climbs uphill for about 1.5 miles, breaking out into an expansive meadow. Walk through extraordinary wildflowers in July and August or wonderful fall color in September and October. Bearpaw Mountain is the prominent peak to the west. At Excelsior Pass, reach the junction with High Divide Trail 630, which enters the Mt. Baker Wilderness and travels along Excelsior Ridge (High Divide) for 4.5 miles east to Welcome Pass, or drops from Excelsior Pass south to meet the Mt. Baker Highway 542 in 4.5 miles. Enjoy views from Excelsior Pass of Mt. Baker, Mt. Shuksan and the Canadian Border Peaks.

组织者们都是义工，平时也有自己的工作生活，热心用自己的业余时间安排活动，通常行前最后一天的临时变更会给组织者带来一些额外的负担和工作，有时候一些在waiting list上的朋友们也无法加入，建议报名者慎重报名。

On my trips I usually avoid "no-shows" and those who bailed out last minute. Sad, but the driver is often the one who effectively pays for the lost car-pool fee (he is not a charity free taxi service). Next time either only accept those with good reputation or pre-charge non-refundable carpool fee - it works! Also, in the past when I used to organize multi-car trips, I made sure every driver had a backup driver (with own vehicle) in the same carpool - chances are small that two will bail. 8)
