2> 防水Hiking boots+冰爪 (大小冰爪都可以)+MSR雪鞋(不要用不安全的钢管雪鞋)

5> quick dry base layer 和一套御寒保暖衣服(e.g. 中间层+羽绒服)
6> 防雨防风外套
7> 头灯/手电筒
8> Day hiking背包及rain cover
9> 防晒霜
10>墨鏡
11> Gaiters,防雪防湿鞋湿裤又能防脏
12> 哨子
13> 登山杖
14> 雨具
15>防蚊(宽松的长衣长裤;inset repellent;防蚊纱衣)
一些注意事项：
需要CARPOOL的朋友准备两双鞋（一双是登山鞋），在开始Hiking前和结束后，换上干净的鞋，这样省去车主打扫车内卫生，谢谢！还可以再准备一双备用的袜子。爬完山，能让脚舒服一下也是种享受 .
手套很有用, 保暖防寒, 要防水／快干的, 建议备两双.

***有大冰爪的带大冰爪，小冰爪的穿法可以先再鞋子外套上结实些的塑料袋再套小冰爪，防湿雪防结球（多带几个塑料袋备用）***
***要带上防风防寒和保暖的衣服备用(ridge上风大会寒冷),也要注意防晒*** 中途不停直接去trailhead会和，事先吃好早饭或车上吃***
***带净水器或净水药片，中途可以补水***

Tenquille Lake via Hurley River FSR & Hurley Branch 12
Tenquille Lake West Road (Hurley Branch 12)
Condition: Culverts pulled on lower section, upper section less steep
General Route: The road is in three sections: (1) south and down on the old Railroad Pass road, (2) east and up on a branch road (3) east from a fork to the actual trailhead on the ridge.
How to Find: From the main Hurley road, look for a sign labelled "Tenquille Branch" at about 1100m at km 19.6. Then back track south on this road, slightly downhill for a km or so. Today it is called the "Tenquille Branch", but it is really the old Railroad Pass mainline.
Description: There are two main "sections" to this road: section 1 is the old Railroad pass mainline, and section 2 is a steep spur road which climbs to the trailhead. Once on the road, section 1 goes slightly downhill for about 2 km. This is the old railroad pass mainline from the 1980's. At about 2 km, you arrive at a branch which leaves the old RR pass road and goes east and uphill. This is about elevation 900m. There is a sign which says: "Tenquille Lake 4 hrs 4WD 2 km". Beyond this, the old mainline used to continue straight downhill, but these days is quite overgrown. Some people park at the end of the lower road, but if you've made it this far, you may as well continue up the hill to the end because it doesn't get any worse. Eventually after a km or so on the second section, you come to another junction at about 1100m. Branch right and continue climbing. Eventually you get to the trailhead, and after a short while the old growth forest. There is a 10 car parking lot at the end of this branch. West Tenquille Lake Trail (Hurley Road to Tenquille Lake)
Condition: Well beaten path with zero deadfall.
General Route: Runs from Railroad pass road eastward to Tenquille Lake.
How Labelled: Faintly visible on satellite in upper reaches.
How to Find: To find the trail, drive up the Lillooet Valley from Pemberton, then up the Hurley River road (Railroad Pass). At 19.3km from the turn off to the Hurley (and about 500m past the bridge over Railroad Creek), look for a short spur which goes east. This spur is heavily ditched right away, and requires a HC 4X4. It is actually what remains of the old Railroad pass road, replaced in the 1980's. Follow the old Railroad pass road level back towards the south. After several km, the road ends and another spur branches east, and climbs steadily 1000' toward the trailhead. Ignore a left branch along the way. At the end of the spur at 4100', there is a landing, and parking space for about 8 cars, and a large map of the entire traverse to Owl Creek. The trail starts right from this upper landing.
Description: From the landing, the trail first climbs from 4000' to the top of the clearcut, at 4400'. It then wraps around to cross Mowich Creek at about 4700'. Mowich creek is in a deep ravine. In spring, it may be necessary to ford the rushing stream. In winter, there will usually be a snow bridge till May. Once past Mowich Creek Crossing, the trail contours out of the ravine and climbs slightly as it wraps around the corner. This is fairly open with views, and a good resting spot. Then the trail continues up to about 5100' and stays at that elevation most of the way, eventually climbing to 5600'. The trail passes through several slide alder paths, and crosses several little streams. There is lots of places to refill your water bottle on the trail.
