No.

Day one with backpack we hiked about 14km along the forest service road (elevation 1300m). Then we set our base camp at area near Lizzie Lake Cabin. (More pictures from our team members to be followed. Stay tuned.)

Day two we just hiked to Tundra without carrying our backpacks, but cameras (and some essentials :lol: ).

Day three we hiked out from our base camp and back home.

Next year, if I were going out there again with my wife, I will spend about 4 to 5 days so that the trip will not be so tense for her.

Elevation gain was very gentle for the first day because we walked along the logging road.  The second day was tough even though without a backpack because we had to walk across seas of boulders. You'll see the pictures later.

Yes, you have extra food for the first day hiking.  But when you are out the food will be all consumed.  Perhaps you may leave it behind in some other forms.  :lol:

Most likely, I will organize another one next mid August - just for my wife's sake.  Let me know then if you're still interested.

不是看到Alex的GPS数据，很难想象自己走了这么多路！看到这样的美景，再累也值。 :D

看到紫湖的人都有一种想与之拥抱的感觉！美得不能用言语来形容，只能大叫一声，以宣泄自己的满足感。快到顶峰的时候，我差点放弃（气）了，最后还是坚持到底才把气放了 :D 真辛苦啊！

We arrived at the abandoned parking lot near Lizzie Lake at 5:00 pm after 5.5 hours hike from the 1st washout. Everyone was exhausted, but we decided to continue.

After another 2 hour hike, at 7:00 pm, we arrived the famous Gate of Shangrila. 这段路的坡度不亚于GG和Lake of Lovely Water。其艰苦程度可想而知，何况所有队员已经走了五个多小时。

但所有队员依然信心十足，希望香格里拉之门给我们带来好运，香格里拉之门意味着将会有一个完全不同的世界等待着我们 :D我们凭着坚强的意志继续行走，下乱石坡。
