Day 0: Fri July 6, 2018Campsite: Cougar Rock Campground Driving from Vancouver to Cougar Rock campground, 6 hrs, including buying food.

In mid-July there are snow patches at higher elevations where park rangers had marked a safe route across the snow. Starting Point: 46.787056, -121.734167

Find the Lakes Trail/Paradise River trailhead on the south (right) side of the main Paradise parking lot just off the main road. The trail immediately begins its descent to Reflection Lakes. Starting Point: 46.769167, -121.723889 Trailhead: N 46° 46′ 06, W 121° 43′ 45

Starting from the Trailhead at Longmire. Devil’s Dream campsite to Mirror Lakes: 2.8 km one way, 150 m elevation gain
Day 3: Mon July 9, 2018 backcountry campsite: South Puyallup River 04. Emerald Ridge & South Puyallup River, backpacking Distance: 5.5/9 km one way | Snow-Free: mid-July~mid-Oct | Difficulty Level: Moderate | Elevation change: 1640-1270-1720-1250 m | Elevation lose: 370/840 m | Elevation Gain: 450/450 m |
Starting from Devil’s Dream. Check the Colonnades---a wall of columnar andesite(old lava flows) that tower above just near the campsite. Tahoma Glacier is nearby.

From the junction with the Wonderland Trail, take the Wonderland Trail north 3.9 miles, climbing a series of steep switchbacks to reach St. Andrews Park and then on to Klaptache Park. Day 4: Tue July 10, 2018 Campsite: Cougar Rock Campground Backpacking From South Puyallup River campsite via Indian Henry’s hunting Ground and going back to Longmire trailhead. 17.5 km one way; Elevation gain 470+370=840 m, Elevation lose 450+815=1265 m.
Day 5: Wed July 11, 2018 Campsite: Ohanapecosh Campground 06. Summerland/Tarns, dayhiking, Area: Sunrise | | Difficulty Level: Moderate | | Elevation End: 1735/1935 m | Elevation Gain: 640/840 m |
Before you get to Sunrise, stop at Sunrise Point for views of Mt Adams (south), Mt Stuart and Glacier Peak to the north. You may see Mt Hood, Mt Baker and Mt Garibaldi. Fryingpan Creek is the last place to refill water bottles before Summerland(2 miles). Trailhead: on the Sunrise Road – the trailhead is on the right-hand side just past the Fryingpan Creek road bridge. No facilities. Day 7: Fri July 13, 2018 backcountry campsite: Eagle’s Roost Backpacking back to trailhead at Sunrise, 6.4 km one way. Driving from Sunrise to Mowich Lake(2.5 hrs).
09. Spray Park,backpacking,Area: Mowich Lake
Day 8: Sat July 14, 2018 backcountry campsite: Eagle’s Roost 10. Seattle Park, dayhiking, 8 km round trip, elevation gain 460 m Along the way crossing a permanent snow field and topping a 1950-meter ridge above Seattle Park (Hike 16). Another side trip is to climb 1967-meter Mt. Pleasant, appropriately names, and easy stroll up open meadows.
Day 9: Sun July 15, 2018 Backpacking back to Mowich Lake trailhead. Driving back to Vancouver.
