Brohm River FSR :
Length:6.2 km
Condition: High clearance 4WD or AWD Subaru, waterbars. Steep, loose gravel in sections. Minimal pullouts. Narrow and tight for turning around. Often congested in winter with pickups and sleds. [size=-1]
General Route: Branches off Cheakeye FSR and loops back to same road higher up.
Description: The road starts at Jct 01, on the Cheekeye FSR about one km before Cat Lake. It then climbs north, running up the east side of the Brohm River [size=-1]It loops around to rejoin the Cheekye FSR at mid-station. From the bottom junction, it starts out by going north on the E side of Brohm River about 5 km, then switches back and heads SE to again intersect with Cheekeye FSR at mid-station. There are a couple of side roads of minor interest. The lefthand spur on a switchback at 900 meters goes to the head of Brohm River on the north side of Brohm Ridge. The spur is getting overgrown. The lefthand spur (Brohm Ridge Road) at Km 6.4 and 1000 meters goes up the extreme west end of Brohm Ridge. It is majorly deactivated but less traveled by sleds. Beyond this last spur, the road is officially named as the Brohm Crossover FSR. [size=-1]The main road is in good 4wd condition as far as Brohm Crossover FSR. The crossover road has many muddy and rough sections, but is passable by 4wd high clearance vehicles. Bulletins
2018.10.22 Eric Carter - Brohm River FSR - good shape:
Brohm River is in good shape and now the preferred alternative to Cheekeye FSR. Lower road is well graded with very small waterbars. The Bridgeout to the crossover road has now been replaced with a culvert. Crossover road is in rougher shape but still passable by a 4x4 with medium clearance
