* All trails in the Cheakamus Lake area are closed due to an aggressive food-conditioned bear. This includes access to Helm Creek campground. In addition, the Taylor Meadow campground is closed until the end of October to allow bears to feed:

* Trails in and around Rainbow Lake are closed to allow bears to feed in

* The Watersprite Lake trail is currently closed:

* The annual (voluntary) closure of the Phelix Creek area (including the Brian Waddington hut) is underway until October 15. This closure started on August 15.

Please respect these closures so as not to jeopardize future access to these areas.

Closures and updates

* The Stein Valley Nlaka'pamux Heritage Park remains closed.

* The Quarry Rock trail in Deep Cove also remains closed.

* Access to the Swan Falls Trail and beyond near Buntzen Lake remains closed due to a rockslide. Note there are other closures in the area too.
