Ascent Trip Report
From Holly Lake, its an easy but steep walk up to Soprano.
From there, I took the ridge down towards Contralto, until there is a notch, I only dropped down a little bit below then took a nice ramp back up to the ridge, from here was the hardest move of the day maybe Class 4ish to regain the ridge, after that it was quite wide and nice. I took the ridge for a bit then sidehilled over to rejoin at the Contralto-Mezzo col, easy scramble then walk up to Mezzo.
From Mezzo to Contralto is a nice easy walk along the ridge as well.
Going down off Contralto NW towards Schroeder, was "stiff" class 3, instead of taking the ridge straight off I backtracked a little bit and side hugged a gully down slightly then back on the ridge. there was maybe one or two harder scramble moves but nothing crazy. then from the Contralto-Schroeder col, I can't really remember (fog started to roll in) but seemed like an easy scramble up to Schroeder.
Down from Schroeder to Linus was my least favourite part but maybe because it was foggy and I was 'ridged' out, but was trickier navigation behind Linus on and off the ridge with some (upon reflection just) harder scrambling sections and more loose rock. Overall though, the rock was less loose then I expected. As I was getting tired of this I went down off the ridge and sidehilled towards Linus then regained via Steven Song's old track and was an easy walk/scramble from Linus to Statimcets.
For more adventerous parties, instead of sidehilling to Mezzo and sidehilling to Linus I'm sure the ridge would go direct the full way.
