本周六scramble召集: Eaton Peak East Summit(Southeast ridge)

Highest Point: 2105m (summit)
Elevation Gain: ~1750 m
Total Distance: ~15 km

集合地点: In front of the Safeway near the Broadway SkyTrain station (Broadway & Commercial)

Driving distance from Vancouver:160km
Carpool fee: $25

The driving direction:
Travel east on highway 1, take exit 168, then just before the bridge over Silverhope Creek, go south onto Silver Skagit Road. Now you follow this road 16km as it heads upstram, crossing and recrossing the creek. Stay left at the approach to Silver Lake provincial Park and pass to the east of the lake. Then a little past the 16km sign, turn left onto an old road sighposted for the Eaton Creek Forest Recreation site. TH is 200m from the main thoroughfare.

The Silver/Skagit Road is a well maintained road according to Skagit Valley provincial Park website.

A leader is not necessary a driver. We’re voluntarily got together. Somebody leads, somebody drives, and somebody joins. I will drive if nobody else is going to drive. I don’t see a problem here.
