Race Course Description
This beautiful 21.1K & 7 Mile course circles Burnaby lake, giving you the opportunity to enjoy fresh air, exercise and more chances to view birds and animals in this wilderness environment.  Join other walkers & runners on this scenic course throughout the trails of Burnaby Lake .  Located in the middle of the city, Burnaby Lake Regional Park is a stunning wildlife sanctuary. The lake was created by a glacier 12,000 years ago and its shores were home to sawmills in the late 1800's.

       

Race Day Schedule Half Marathon Walkers & Runners Start Times:

8:00am
All Walkers and Runners with a personal best time of two hours and thirty minutes
and beyond.

9:00am
All Walkers &  Runners with a personal best time of two hours and twenty-nine minutes and below.

7 Miler Start Time:

9:30am
All Walkers & Runners will start together.

12 noon

How to get to Burnaby Lake :

Driving:

Via: #1,
Take the Trans Canada Highway. Exit at Kensington Avenue North to Sprott Street and Sperling Avenue

Via: Lougheed Hwy


From Lougheed Hwy Take the Kensington exit south and immediately get into the left lane. From the first left turn lane, turn east onto
Laurel St. and then south onto Speling.



Via: Sky Train,
