FOCUSING
Caution: Do not look through the scope at the sun as it may cause permanent damage to your eye. Point the scope towards a well lighted area and look through the eye piece while holding the scope steady about 3 inches from your eye. If the light doesn't fill with the whole field of view, adjust the distance between your eye and eye piece of the scope until you have a fully lit field of view. If the reticle is not clear, loosen the locking ring and rotate the eye piece in either direction until the reticle appears sharp and clear,. Then lock the eye piece firmly by tightening the locking ring. Note: Scope with Illuminated Reticule is built with a Speed Focus feature. Adjrustment for focus can be done by turning the foci's ring at the end of eye piece. No locking is necessary after adjustment.
MOUNTING THE COPE
Caution: Check eve relief before shootings
Due to strong recoil of firearms, be sure to leave enough distance between your eye and eye piece of the scope. Proper eye protections should always be used when using scopes.
Remove upper halves of rings, place scope in cradle formed by lower halves of rings Slide scope back and forth while looking through the scope eye piece until you have a fully lit field of view. Rotate the scope to align the reticle horizontally and vertically. Then replace upper halves of rings and tighten ring screws completely.
ZEROING THE SCOPE
Since zeroing involves actual shooting of live rounds, it should be done at an approved shooting range.
Benchrest the gun. Remove the windage and elevation caps. Turn the power ring to the highest setting if you are using a zoom model. Set the adjustable objective at the proper target distance if the scope has such a feature.
Fire three rounds at the target Which is set at 100 yards from where you are shooting. Note the points or impact on the target-Measure the distance from the center of the three round group to center of the target and adjust the windage and elevation accordingly. Each click adjustment moves the point of impact by the amount shown on the face of the dials.
PARALLAX CORRECTION
To be parallax free, the target image must be focused onto the reticle. This condition can be met only at the range for which the scope is focused .Targets either nearer or further away will cause parallax which is seen as apparent movement of the reticle against the target. The small amount of parallax exhibited in general purpose hunting scopes and at normal hunting ranges is insufficient to be of any concern. For precision shooting, parallax can be eliminated at all ranges by using adjustable objective design. When using models with adjustable objective, rotate the objective focusing ring to the objective distance setting to correct the parallax.
ILLUMINATED RETICLE
Use:, one CR2032 or equivalent button cell. To change the battery, first remove the battery compartment cap on top of the rheostat adjustment turret. Replace the used battery with a new one. Positive (+) side of the battery should face up when installed.
Always remember to turn off the power when the scope is not in use.
TAKING CARE OF YOUR SCOPE
When not in use, the scope should be kept in a clean, dry and ventilated place away from any corrosive material. Never try to take the scope apart or clean it internally. Send your scope to a qualified service station if it ever need repair. Lens surface may be cleaned with lens cloth. Keep lens covers in place when scope is not in use. |
