请教一下，为什么trail上要有人数限制？是路比较难走大group容易出危险吗？分成两组的话，距离需要保持多远才算是两个team？这个规定听上去不那么make sense啊～

No fires are allowed. The Skyline Divide Trail enters the Mt Baker Wilderness. In keeping with wilderness regulations, party size is limited to 12 including stock and/or llamas.

The goal of wilderness management is to manage human use and influences so as not to alter natural processes; it is not to mold nature to suit people. Visitors can help by carefully planning for their visit to the Wilderness and by following the regulations.

National Park party size regulation:

The maximum party size allowed on all trails is 12 pairs of eyes (including people and stock). For travel in most cross-country zones, the party size is limited to 6 pairs of eyes (except in the cross-country areas around Shuksan, Eldorado, and Boston Basin, where the party size is also 12). Party size limits help protect the landscape and the experience of others. If your group is larger, you must divide into two or more smaller groups, and travel and camp separately (i.e. at least one mile, or a half-days travel time apart). Please respect these limits.

Use common sense to determine how far each group should be apart.
