Robin,
U might remember that making a speech is not to read the words in your hand, but the words in your heart: Tell the audience what is in your mind. There is no difference to make public speech in English and Chinese. There is nothing to worry or choke. Here is the outline for our trip.
When: Sat morning
Where: Joffre Lakes, another 45 minutes beyond Whistler.
What we done: Sat overnight backpack camping by the Lake.
Why u wanted to do it:
1. Need to stretch out my legs after 5-day sitting.
2. Summer in Vancouver is the best season.
3. Backpack is a drill for a long one in Aug.
What is your accomplished:
Part I.
1. Early get together.
2. 12 teammates including myself and a crazy one from Seattle.
3. Nice driving on the new paved highway if u do not mind to have a speeding ticket.
Part II.
1. Nice weather from trailhead.
2. Three lakes in total.
3. Get over rocks if u want to see the best.
4. Do not say too much about how to get there since nobody is really interesting, but how much time for how long/gain.
Part III.
Describe the water and anything u like to for the Lake.
Part IV.
Describe how we got fun to cook under the tarp in rain.
This subject might be more than 15 minutes. Or u could split it in two speeches. Good luck.
Jerry,
very good outline of speech, I will practice it this evening.
with your guide, I feel confident a little.
Thanks so much! |
