新年第二天,lulu带领全队人马从小木屋出发,打算登顶Mt Steele.

Mt Steele银装素裹,漫天飞舞的雪花和淡淡的薄雾把它妆扮得如梦似幻!

Here is my original tabouleh Salad recipe very easy
If you have no time to make this one, you can buy a premixed tabouleh which you just add the parsley, tomatos, cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice and salt and pepper to. The mix is called Casbah Tabouleh or similar product and you can get it at Parmar Market on Commercial at 3rd avenue or Galloways foods. Very fast and quick for backpacking.

1 cup bulgur wheat (Galloways foods or Pamar Market at 3rd and Commercial on the east side)
2 clove garlic crushed
Juice from 3 wqhole lemons
1 bunch mint fresh (3 tablespoons)
1 bunch parsley large (seperated and chopped with no stems)
4 whole green onions both white and green parts sliced thin
3 whole tomatoes ripe, diced
1/2 English Cucumber diced
salt to taste
black pepper freshly ground , to taste
1/4 cup of olive oil optional but highly recommended for taste.

Instructions:
Cover bulgur with warm water and soak for 15 minutes. Squeeze out excess water. Mix in the lemon juice, crushed garlic , salt and pepper. Allow this to rest until bulgur is soft, about 30 minutes.

Wash the mint and parsley well and dry it. Chop parsley and mint finely using a knife or food processor (if using a food processor it helps to use the pulse in order to prevent chopping to fine and turning the herbs to a puree).

Combine the mint, parsley, onions, tomatoes, Cucumber and bulgur wheat mixture . Toss with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper as desired to adjust the taste. :D

雨中,WINDY與濕人

早上從RICHMOND出發的時候還沒下雨,誰知一路走,雨卻越下越大,等FERRY的時候,感覺雨就象從車窗外傾盆而下。哎呀,我說,這雨怎麼下個不停?旁邊人有說,這都怪LULU!

???怎麼又怪到我們親愛的領導頭上來了?

還不是因為領導招了雨中和WINDY來?---所以必定是風雨同路啦!

哦,原來有風、雨MM同行,怪不得風雨一路。

然而,這無損我們上山的興致。只是,當我們背著包,沿著標識明顯的TRIAL向EDWARDS CABIN進發的時候,卻明顯感到雨水滲進手套里、褲子里,甚至於感覺到有小小的溪流順著小腿流向鞋子!完了,完了,這回真是從里濕到外!大濕人一個!都怪風、雨MM啊,有人到了小木屋,一邊脫著濕鞋一邊打趣道。

唉,其實這怨天怨地怨LULU怨雨中怨WINDY還不如怨自已,平時大太陽底下,成天背著防水衣褲滿山地跑,這回該派大用場的時刻卻偏偏不帶,真是 :lmd:

很多人都無可避免地成為大濕人, 所以進了木屋第一件事就是脫、脫、脫!

元旦夜的失控與反失控

清酒啊清酒,二鍋頭啊二鍋頭,
JIM酒啊JIM酒,WHISKEY啊WHISKEY,
記不得酒傳了多少遍,只知道木屋里越來越熱,越來越熱。。。以致于有人嚷著要跳脫衣舞,老楊哭著喊著要去裸奔~~ :lol:

在這近乎失控的時刻,LULU領導及時出來一按---用技朮性的按摩手法,把大家過于發熱的神絲按捺住了!

糖卷果的做法 Recipe of Beijing Tradtional Snak.

I found it's hard to translate (my poor English :?) Just see this vedio first to make some sense.

原料: 山药, 大枣, 面, 油皮, 糖桂花, 糖, 芝麻
Ingredient:
Yam, Date, Flour, Fried Tofu Skin (optional), Osmanthus fragrans Sauce (Optional), Raisin, Suger ( Or brown suger), sesame.

Yam: (from T&T)


Osmanthus fragrans Sauce:


Fried Tofu Skin: (from T&T)


1. 将山药拍扁,把一半山药一半枣(去核), 少许面粉或者江米粉,糖桂花, 葡萄干 混合, 加一点水, 使面粉将原料粘在一起. 山药枣的比例依个人口味而定.
Smash Yam. Put Yam, date (pitted), Raisin, Osmanthus fragrans Sauce  together. Add a little bit flour and water to make all ingredient stick together.

2. 用腐皮把原料包好上锅蒸10-15分钟
Wrap (1) ingredients by one piece of thin fried tofu skin. Or if you don't have fried tofu skin, just put it in a bowl. Steam 10-15 minutes.

3. 用屉布把蒸好的原料赶成圆条状, 用刀沾水切2cm左右块.
Put steamed ingredients in a wet tray cloth, press and push it long and thin. Dip the knife in the water and cut it to pieces (2 cm thin)

4. 用油将切好的块炸至金黄色.
Put some oil in a fry pan, fry (3) to brown.

5. 在锅中放一点油, 然后加水加糖(或红糖), 熬至粘稠起沫, 放入芝麻, 把炸好的卷果放入锅中, 撒上果料.  
Put a little bit oil, half glass of water, 1/2  cup sugar or brown sugar in a pan, boil it till sticky, add sesame, and put (4) in the pan make sure all pieces dipped sticky sugar liquid.
Put Raisin and other dried sweet fruits on top for decoration.[/url]

I once tried cooking that yam and found out that the skin makes you itch when you peel it, but I love the texture and taste. For sure I will be making this dessert.

It indeed make hands itchy when peeling. A tip to avoid it is burn the burr on stove before peeling. Or wear glove  :lol:

無奈的領導與賴皮的懶人隊

第二天一早,被大伙沸沸揚揚吃早餐的聲音吵醒,在樓上也似乎聞到香味兒,肚子開始咕咕抗議,可就是不愿爬起來。LULU領導不屈不撓地溫柔催促,才把懶人們都弄下來吃早餐。

可是一邊吃早餐,一邊有人打退堂鼓:小木屋內多溫暖啊,外面風大雨大的,我們就不登頂了,打死也不走了!領導真不容易啊,差點要寫保證書,保證确實是3K以內的路程,才總算把大伙都勸出了門。

結果最后還不得不分成兩隊出發上MT。STEELE:早起的烏兒都作先行隊,而懶人隊則晚了半小時出發。

路程确實不是很遠,可是一直都是上坡路。走起來可沒少費勁。懶人一邊哧呵哧呵地走,一邊哼哼:上當受騙上啊,上當受騙上啊~~ :lol:  :lol:
