via HSCT South Summer Trail : Cypress Bowl - Unnecessary Mountain - Cypress Bowl

TRIP CANCELED DUE TO CONDITIONS

* must be well fit to sustain up to 10 hrs on the move

Statistics
* Cypress-Unnecessary, one way ~8km / ~900m elevation gain

Gear:
Mandatory: snowshoes, traction device (microspikes or crampons), trekking poles
Recommended: snow shovel, avalanche beacon, PLB/SPOT, GPS, emergency space blanket (or large garden plastic bag)

Safety Levels
POP (probability of precipitation) < 40%
Rain accumulation < 7mm
Avalanche Danger: Moderate

*if minimum safety levels are not met, the trip will be suspended or canceled, last minute cancellations do occur.

IMPORTANT
ALTHOUGH the organizer of this trip has received training in mountaineering and alpine/crevasse rescue, he is NOT a professional mountaineer, guide or trained first aid attendant. The function of the organizer is only to organize the trip, ensure it gets underway and be familiar or have knowledge of the access to the area, the route or routes. Participants on a trip are responsible for their own safety and are expected to have the necessary skills, experience, fitness, suitable first aid supplies and appropriate equipment in good working order.

同意，unnecessary很陡，如果从cypress上到unnecessary,然后原路返回应该是最简单的，在博士的四个选择里面。
从cypress上, lions下，下山很陡，应该要在avalache足够低的情况才好。
从lions上，cypress下，这个要在天气和雪况都好的前提下。因为爬高多，可能要走不少夜路。
从lions上，走完unnecessary,再从lions下，我都觉得有点自虐了。 :shock:

UPDATE: Weather forecast, as always not reliable, but used as a rough idea, predicts rapid change through this week from sunny to rainy days. Hoping to see good conditions on Sunday, however the trip minimum safety levels must be met or it will be cancelled. Last minute cancellations do occur. 8)

明白了。安全第一。不管车有没有snow tire，如果预报说星期天会下雨的话，反正活动会取消。等到星期五正午，再看预报以决定怎么办，好吗？
