可以帶小冰爪, 不帶也可以. (我自己就不帶).
有小雪, 風景才美麗一點嗎. :lol:

我还担心是不是要带雪鞋，因为本周都在下雪，而且最低温度已是-6度，看来是多虑了，我也不带小冰爪了，减重。

How is the road condition, especially Iron Gate Road? The fs website shows it is open. Is snow covering road?

是挺动心滴。。。

不担心一天走20公里，但是担心FS road的路面，是否已经集了厚雪。我不善长开雪路。。。 :oops:

听从小C的建议，不适合第一次backpacking...放弃参加的想法。。。

到Pasayten (Iron Gate Trailhead) 路途遙遠, 我們會走 Hwy 1 --> Hwy 3, --> Osoyoos--> Loomis-->

從溫可華不停開到Toats Coulee Road, 未入Forest Service Road都要5小時。中途休息, 過關, 加油, 估計需要7小時, 最快12:00 noon才可開步。時間緊迫, 不會在路上停留買東西, 請帶齊所需要物品。

墾請不要攜帶生肉, 熟肉, 蔬果在車上。可以帶風乾水果, 蔬菜和罐頭。過了關, 把罐頭開罐, 用ziplock bag把肉裝起來。

Chopaka - Nighthawk Border很小, 開放時間9:00am to 5:00pm, 不辦理任何簽證, 請確定自已有齊進入美國有效的旅遊証件。護照(加拿大護照除外)最少有效期六個月, 即不能早過四月十五號到期。

Driving directions from Loomis to Iron Goat Trailhead:

1. In Loomis, drive 0.3 mile through the hamlet to a green sign at the T-intersection.

2. Go Right 1.9 miles to Toats Coulee Road 39 and turn left onto it near the valley bottom, before the highway turns sharply right.

3. On Road 39, 1.3 miles from the highway, ignore the ascending dirt road, continue straight on pavement.

4. At 7.9 miles go left at the signed junction, toward Iron Gate Trailhead.

5. North Fork Campground is on the right at 8.2 miles.

6. At 13.7 miles (milepost 36) reach a junction, turn right (northwest) onto Road (3900) 500.

7. It's another 6, rough miles to the trailhead at Iron Gate Campground.

Congress missed its deadline to keep the government running and the National Park Services' contingency plan states in the event of a shutdown all activities at the parks, except for necessary emergency services, would be immediately suspended and the parks would be closed indefinitely.

Not only is the public unable to enter the parks, visitors currently camping or staying in a national park have been ordered to leave within two days and all roads leading to the parks are set to close.

我还一直为好天气祈祷，不曾想政府突然来了个临时性关门，希望能在几天内重新开门工作。

要是繼續南下, 這是我心目中首選可以一去的地方.
也是一個風景非常美麗的地方, 拍照的好地方, 有trails
排名非常高.

地點是Oregon, 不用4X4或高身車,

計劃是一天駕車南下,
base camp逗留两天,
或逗留一天在這裡, 第二天到另一個State Park,
(State Park 繼續開門).
當然有秋色看, 但是這裡沒有金松看.

明天不返工, 搜集資料.
也要留意天氣. 所以在下週一或週二決定.

總而言之, 要讓大伙兒有一個好行程.
