Info quoted from Bivouac:
Brandywine Meadows Spur (Metal Dome Spur) (Valley to Brandywine Meadows)
Condition: HC, moderate waterbars, 4x4 or AWD
History: Once upon a time, tourers enjoyed fine turns on the walls of the cirque, but most weekends one will find the cirque alive with snowmachines launching large hits and generally ripping up the bowl. From Brandywine, good ski descents are possible on the north side. At the end of the current access road (until the crossditch has filled with stranded SUV's) is a hut built by a snowmobile contractor near the top of the last clearcut. Because it illegally occupied Crown land, the owners were required to open it to the public. The hut, unfortunately, is now in rather sad shape at times. It appears that many users have had little interest in keeping it clean and vermin free. 'Tis a shame, as the hut is well-built and has a terrific view of Garibaldi Park across the valley.
Destinations: This is the standard approach that skiers and snowmachiners use to ski Metal Dome and Brandywine Mountain via Brandywine Meadows.
How to Find: From Hwy 99 North (Sea to Sky Highway), turn west onto Brandywine FSR. After 4.5km, turn right onto Brandywine Meadows Spur.
How to Follow: Stay on main, ignoring all spurs. General description follows (zero odometer at Brandywine FSR junction):
+0.1km spur right
+2.0km spur left
+2.1km spur right
+2.7km spur left, turnaround and parking area
+3.7km spur right to snowmobile hut which has parking area and turnaround
+4.9km (est.) end of road
Labelled Waypoints Format Choices: Lat-Longs are WGS84.

Road Condition Bulletins:
2013.09.26 Andrew Wong - Active hauling in the area, spur in easy 4x4 shape:
Caution when driving this road as there's active hauling on two cutblocks about 1.5km below the snowmobile hut. We followed a logging truck up this morning. Don't want to meet one coming down! Hauling will probably end when snow reaches further down. Spur is in excellent shape--I previously drove this road in 2008 and it was a lot rougher then. Easy to drive in the Tracker. *1
2013.08.20 Steve Sproule - 4wd/Awd recommended:
Drove to the very end of the Brandywine Spur today. 4wd and decent clearance is probably a good plan. My lifted full-sized Ford had no difficulties whatsoever, but I did use 4x4, including low range to make it easier on my clutch as some of the hills are pretty steep, and some sections are quite rough. Two new spur roads branch off to the right on the way up, with signs from the company stating to call ahead if entering to ensure no concerns exist. Took the road right to the end beyond the snowmobile hut, at which point deep waterbars and narrow sections are encountered. I didn't scrape at all, and did see a stock Nissan Pathfinder parked at the end, so moderate clearance seems to be fine. In a few spots there are medium/large boulders just on the road on the uphill side which required careful passing as it was fairly narrow. In reality, driving to the Brandywine trail at the end is probably just a waste of time as it was very slow going (walking pace or slightly faster) and it was more annoying than anything. Best bet is to park at the junction with the snowmobile hut and walk the last km or so. Room for turning around and some vehicles to park at the very end if you decide to drive it. Wouldn't want to come across someone driving the other way on this last stretch as there really isn't anywhere to pull off out of the way....one party would have to back up a ways, and that wouldn't be too enjoyable *1
