She is stronger than me. She can hike 5 times GG a week. As I cannot go, she can use my gear.

We went to GG together last month. She was faster.

She is very fit. I believe she can do it even she didn't backpack before. I am not sure she has that experience or not. I gave your cell to her and her cell is 778-882-8311. You may talk each other.

Email reply I got from Ross Campbell who organized a VOC trip to Brain waddington hut this past weekend regarding the reoad/trail condition..

Hi Gloria,

The Birkinhead logging road was a little snowy/icy this weekend but I was
driving a 7 seater Modo van without snow tyres or chains and we made it up
ok (and I had never driven on snow before!) so I'm sure you'd have no
problems either. Also, much of the snow/ice that had been there on
Saturday had already melted by Sunday evening.

From the 2 wheel parking lot the snow cover is pretty thin all the way to
the junction where you enter the trees, through the clear cut and most of
the way up the switchbacks. From the last switchback up to the hut the
snow is deep enough you would be very glad to have snowshoes. Everything
below that I hiked down in ski boots quite happily though it was a bit icy
in places. The lake looks fairly solidly frozen but we elected to scoot
round the left edge of it rather than head straight across. We did cross
the upper lake above the hut without fear or incident.

For sure, unless it dumps snow this week I can't see why you couldn't go
at least all the way to the junction and possibly further depending how
adventurous you are. The rockslide area close to the start of the trail is
clear and there is very little snow. After the fork there's a bit more
snow, not enough to get stuck in I wouldn't think, but I've never driven 4
wheel drive cars when 4 wheel drive was needed so I don't know how steep a
slippery slope needs to be before its not a good idea.
