Alpine snow/ice climb: Mt. Baker (3,286m), WA

Event 4 was completed on 2014 JUL 4

This was an alpine route #147 from Alpine Select catalog (Coleman-Deming F ice)

Super conditions, good weather, and NO cameras were dropped this time ( but instead attempted to drop self into a crevasse) 8)

This was the 2nd attempt. 1st attempt was abandoned on JUN-8th because of whiteout conditions.

It is up to debate why to be in the dark on a glacier full of crevasses, but it is not uncommon to start climbing Mt. Baker as early as 1 a.m.

Some crevasses are called "bus eaters" meaning they are so big and wide that a bus dropped into it will fall without touching anything. 8)
