Touching the clouds: nothing above except the sky - standing at 3,286 m above sea level on the summit of Mount Baker.

Hard to believe only 2 years ago she needed 2.5 embarrassing hours to hike up Grouse Grind (which is only 800 m elevation gain over 3 km distance)

Back down at the Baker-Colfax col. Four Koreans (?) and 3 skiers still climbing Roman Wall. Some have left their packs behind (tired?), skiers have left their skis.

A hole like this is hard to detect when walking down the snow slope; one of us almost dropped into one. Self-arrest skills and acting quick using only ski poles saved the day.
