When we arrived back at the car, the road as expected was covered by fresh dust of snow. And as expected, the car failed to pass that first waterbar: three attempts to overcome it by gaining initial speed didn't succeed, and the road surface was already ruined by the spinning tires. The prospect of leaving our car behind and hiking out was slowly emerging as a very real thing. In such situations people with cool head and quick reaction often save the day. Vera proved again to be one of this kind of people. 8) |
