Driving direction from Peace Arch to Motel:
Follow I-5 S and I-405 S to SE 8th St in Bellevue, United States. Take exit 12 from I-405 S

Turn left onto SE 8th St 0.4 mi

Turn right onto Lake Hills Connector 0.5 mi

Slight right onto 132nd Ave SE/Richards Rd
Continue to follow Richards Rd 1.4 mi

Turn left onto SE 36th St 0.2 mi

Turn right onto 132nd Ave SE

From Ellensburg, Washington, take Hwy 821 (Canyon Road) south into the Yakima River Canyon. Umtanum is located at milepost 16, twelve miles south of Ellensburg.

Time required: 1 hour 46 mins.

Umtanum Campground facilities

All four BLM-managed recreation sites offer picnic tables, fire rings, nearby dumpsters and vault toilets. Hookups and potable water are not provided. Big Pines campground is where the majority of the campsites are located, and contains two group campsites. Umtanum, Lmuma Creek, and Roza also offer campsites. Umtanum and Roza receive high day-use visitation during the summer months. Roza offers a concrete boat launch. Motorboats are prohibited upstream from Roza.
