Re: Hiking this Sunday (Jan. 27) - brunswick

..Avy risk is out there my fellow hikers...
Unless I am mistaken, the avy risk for Sunday dropped to "Low", that was the reason to reopen the trip. "..Generally safe avalanche conditions. Watch for unstable snow on isolated terrain features..."
Re: Hiking alone - creates sense of control and self independence, and probably 99% safe as long as to keep on standard routes, yet in the remaining 1% even without avy risk there are so many easy ways to get hurt, e.g. dropping into a tree well is classic way to die within close proximity to public tourist trail, and I am saying that not only because I read about it in some book written by 沙发马铃薯. More exotic example would be having a hand accidentally jammed under a shifted rock and having to cut it using pocket knife. etc,.etc.. Obviously, just having a hiking companion(s) around would reduce all above mentioned just to a minor funny episode not worth mentioning (or making a full feature movie).
