We are not going to "Sea-to-Sky". ( Brunswick Mtn is in North Shore, Lions Area. ) 8)

It is on the boundary, but belongs to sea to sky.

Brunswick Mountain is located within the confines of 3000Ha Cypress Provincial Park, located just above the suburb of West Vancouver. Brunswick is the highest peak in the group of peaks just to the north of Vancouver known as the North Shore Mountains.

Brunswick肯定是属于north shore的，我理解的sea to sky 应该是过了squamish。还是要多谢Yin G 的提醒，明天我们会密切观察雪况的。就像我们不能迷信天气预报一样。

Decided to stay home ( weather not so good).

"..Overcast with a chance of rain, then rain in the afternoon. High of 6C. Breezy. Winds from the South at 15 to 20 km/h. Chance of rain 80%."

It's been good efforts to keep waiting until very last minute, unfortunately it failed to clear to match my standards. 8)

我们到家了。
山上没有下雨，飘着细小的雪花，下山的时候太阳还出来了。从1050M开始坡度很陡，看看我们牛人猫MM是怎么爬山的。

到家。已经洗完热水澡了。很有趣的“爬山”。
山上雪况很好，能见度也不错。下山的时候还出了点太阳。

从难度上来讲，个人感觉brunswick还是比harvey高出不少，难怪我们这里冬天组织去那里的活动不多。前1000米非常简单，过了1050海拔后坡度急升，薄雪，陡坡加硬冰。过了hsct junction后就更是举步为艰，但是爬起来很好玩。我们在最后不到200米处返回，因为实在太陡，担心下山的安全问题。另外对这类陡坡和雪况的经验少，也是我们没有继续登顶的原因之一。

谢谢laozou和麦芒同行。期待下次出行。跟牛人组同行居然3：20pm就回到了停车场，4点半就到家了。为此遭到领导的严重表扬; 可不小心被领导看到了上面这张爬行的照片，又被批了:( :(

关于天气的一点补充说明：
今天早上6：15出门的时候基本上没有雨，而且能见度很好，虽然不能确定north shore的天气是否一样clear, 那还是很想去试试。我当时的想法是如果中间走到任何一段发现能见度差，或者风大，温度超低，人感觉不舒服的话就折返。不想take any risk。再次感谢laozou和麦芒和我一起尝试。同时感谢其他计划参加的同学和跟贴同学的友情提醒，这让我们在爬山的过程中一直保持高度的安全意识。谢谢你们！

昨天“爬”的很累，下山的时i候我是丢盔卸甲、连滑带滚的下来的，还好有惊无险。有些菜鸟的经验和教训想分享下：
1. 一定要多备一付登山杖的baskets，特别是去雪厚，还有很多树枝树根的地方，上山的时候laozou的一个basket先掉了，我还说我的是拧上去的不会掉，结果下山的时候就轮到我了，心里随之产生一种不安，影响了脚下的步伐，摔了个狗啃泥，再然后发现背包的RAIN COVER也不知让哪根多情的树枝留下了。
2. 一定要团队共进退，上到HSCT JUNCTION，后面那段“好汉坡”按Kitty 和laozoud能力应该能上，爬了30多米的样子，我回头看了下，告诉Kitty就算上的去估计我是下不来了，Kitty一早就说只要我们三人中的任何一个感觉不舒服就立刻回头。现在想想这个决定对我是太好了，这条线路我们三个都没走过，那段斜坡估计有45%的坡度，加上天气不好，我真的很抖豁。

以前一直以为自己没有“恐高症”的，但昨天面对这样的坡度害怕了，看来我是有轻微“恐高症”的，以后爬陡的山要三思而后行了。

Brunswick最后一段确实很陡，完全裸露的，感觉上雪崩危险指数比较高。

反正山总是在那里，这跟珠峰一个道理，珠峰的那个老吴我几年前就看过帖子，包括去年加东死得那个女的。为了追求梦想把自己挂了....得不偿失

无论如何，安全还是最重要的，当然每个人对安全的理解限度不同。以前的签名档：不怕一万，就怕万一，共勉

I went up to the eagle mountain this morning, had a little bit trouble passing a slope and triggered a mini avalanche / a snowpack fall.

I was buried to waist just in a few seconds and it was so fast that I couldn't do anything.

It took me a while to pull out my legs as the snow was condensed, so hard to dig.

很少照这种照片呢，帖出来吧，应该挺好玩的。谢谢沿途拍照，现在看起来蛮有意思的。
要是潘世博在就好了，他对这种雪坡的经验多。最后一段我也没把握，没把握的时候撤下来肯定是对的。再次感谢你的及时叫停，安全第一。
啥时候找个大晴天再去走走，上面的风光一定不错。
和你，还有laozou一路走的很开心， :D :D
