2019.07.11 Zermatt, Switzerland (contd.)
Stockhorn (3,532 m) - we had no GPS track of this, and of course, picked wrong route over ridge (and used our emergency rope in places), and only on descent found a good class 2 trail...
By coincidence, we picked this city of Brig as our first transit stop in Switz, without knowing much what it is, but ended up staying here all our time and we liked it.
From Brig you can travel by local train to a lot of good places .
2019.7.15 Chamonix - Servoz - Saint Gervais - Lyon
By good accident, in one day visited two French villages, and hiked 10km from one to another, then ended in big city of Lyon. Got to know better French train system - even if a train board says next station is Terminal and asks you to leave train, it will still keep going past it. Even if a train is express, it may stop mid-way and you have to jump to another, or this one will take you back to where you have started. ._
Leaving Chamonix
Servoz train station. Next train in 2 hours.
Let's hike a bit..to next town
InReach' Europe map was pretty good to determine our route.
