Unless we get some crazy warm weather, the entire highway should still be frozen/snow covered. You'll also be going through a bunch of mountain passes between Ft St John and Whitehorse. Snow tires are a must. While I haven't been that far north (haven't been past Dawson - which was like 15 yrs ago), I can't see it being that much different than Whitehorse. People don't normally start removing their snow tires until April/May anyway.

One survival tip I'll give, is to bring some candles. Should you break down and need to spend some time in the jeep overnight, the candles will warm up the interior enough to keep you from freezing. Once you get north of Dawson you'll be nearing the tree line, and you may not be able to get a fire going.

Also, for those places you plan on camping in a camp ground, ensure they're open. Most campgrounds up here are not open all year - in fact very few are. I'm unaware of any that open before May long weekend (at least officially).

You shouldn't have to worry about wildlife (in the sense of bears, wolves, etc). But if you're doing ANY driving at night, get some aftermarket lights. We have LOTS of wildlife on the roads (moose, dear, etc). Running into a moose or a buffalo will total your jeep. Buffalo are all around Liard Hot Springs, so be careful!

关于之前旅行路线的调整还是不成，我恐怕还要走乔治王子城的原来的路线，因为还有一个赚钱的小生意，我还要带几个客户考察一下BC省北部的待售农场，详见：

现在计划这样调整，整个车队一起从温哥华出发，然后到kelowna分成两组，一路去乔治王子城沿线，一路去班芙（蓝色路段），然后两天以后大家在FORT ST. john 会师，时间刚刚好，也一定别有一番情趣。

很希望得到各位朋友的支持和理解！

友情提醒：冬季根据气候的变化，随时可能封路，分开走的话，很有可能要回到温哥华才能会师，除非有人愿意在预定会师的地点等候，短则一天两天，长则十天半月的都有可能。

个人觉得，这次活动的商业味道过于浓烈，如果抱着玩的心态去参加，最后可能会玩得不开心，我虽然也很想去北极看极光，想想这次还是不参加了，下次有机会再加入吧。
玩嘛就想开开心心的玩，彻底放松一下，不想有太多的其他考虑，太多的压力。

我已经调整了路线计划，准备一起走第二路线，回来时再走PRINCE GEORGE看农场项目。

其实玩有很多种，各个层次不同，我是没有达到各位前辈的层次，总体上还是财力有限！

就玩而言，我跟NORTH FACE和Columbia Sportswear谈赞助，其实对我来说跟玩一样，无论最后结果如何，我很喜欢，觉得挺有意思。我把之作为认识人的一种方式，我很希望到加拿大能多积累人脉关系，但认识人总要有事情说，什么内容也没有，我又一个人都不认识，确实难度太大了。所以对于北极之旅的赞助我没有压力，成功了是锦上添花，不成功是意料之中。

这次我将请国内的朋友带过来一批文具，我想捐给北极小镇的学校，如果能换点吃的就换点吃的，能换点玩的就换点玩的，什么也换不来就换点聊天的资源，我觉得挺好玩的。

我还跟北极小镇那边的一个原住民艺术家联系上了，我跟他说要去视频专访他，免费的，聊聊北极原住民的文化和艺术，正好又增加我自己的网站的内容，又想以另一个角度多认识一下人，没准能玩点给钱也玩不到的内容，那是我很希望的，当然没有也没关系，其采访本身也是我喜欢和感兴趣的。

其他的同行的朋友我不知道怎么想，我也没跟他们商量，反正这些是我更喜欢玩的，而且以后还有可能的赚钱机会，他们可能更喜欢极光和冰河驾驶，我觉得一点都不矛盾，大家各取所需，我觉得这样更有意思，反而更能互补，可能玩得更有意思。

一年一度的「美国科学促进会」科学家在会议上表示，太阳活动以11至12年为周期，目前进入活动高峰期。

而就在上週，太阳喷发了5年来最强的风暴，在短短的几分鐘内，以每秒933公里的速度，朝地球的方向喷射带电粒子，带来了绚丽的极光秀。
